Vatican Museums and St Peter’s: entrances and where to stay
A Vatican-area stay works best when you plan around the actual places you want to visit. The Vatican Museums, St Peter’s Square and the Basilica do not share a single entrance.

Book the museum visit
The Vatican Museums identify tickets.museivaticani.va as their sole official online ticket office. Start there to select your date and type of visit. Check what is included, the conditions and any additional service you need before purchasing.
Avoid arranging a timed visit immediately after a flight or another fixed appointment. A convenient apartment makes the day easier to organise, but it does not remove queues or unexpected delays.
Use directions from the correct apartment
The Museums list Ottaviano and Cipro on metro line A as public transport options. Whether walking or taking transport makes sense depends on your starting point. These route links use each apartment’s address and the Museums as the destination.

Give St Peter’s its own time slot
If you also want to visit the Basilica or square, allow for a separate journey. Check the destination’s official visitor arrangements for your day; do not assume that a museum ticket automatically includes other visits.
Choose one main activity for the morning and keep the afternoon more flexible. With children or guests who prefer less walking, a break at the apartment may work better than several back-to-back timed bookings.
Choose a base for your kind of visit
Giulia, Aurelia and Adriana differ in address and layout. Compare who is travelling, the sleeping arrangements and the actual route rather than relying on a neighbourhood label. Save your reservation links and check access instructions before setting out so an unavailable mobile connection does not disrupt the day.
