Rome with family: choosing an apartment with a kitchen and two bathrooms
For a family, choosing accommodation is about everyday routines: where everyone sleeps, getting ready in the morning and taking a break between visits. Photographs and the layout tell you more than a broad accommodation label.

When two bedrooms and two bathrooms help
Domus Aurelia, at Piazza dei Prati degli Strozzi 21, is an option for guests looking for two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. The layout can help with morning routines and privacy. However, the bedroom count alone does not describe every sleeping space: ask how the home will be prepared for your group.
Domus Adriana, at Via Giannozzo Manetti 33, and Domus Giulia, at Viale delle Medaglie d’Oro 8, offer one bedroom and one bathroom each. Compare the relationship between the living and sleeping areas, especially if adults and children follow different bedtimes.
How a kitchen changes the day
A kitchen gives you more flexibility for breakfast and meals. Ask in advance if you need a particular item, such as equipment for preparing baby food, rather than assuming every accessory is available. Check ingredients and food preparation arrangements yourself when dealing with allergies or dietary needs.
Leave at least one break without a fixed appointment. Returning to rest before going out again may be easier than fitting every sight into one long day. Check the route between the apartment and your booked activity to judge whether a return visit is practical.
Questions to ask before confirming
- How will beds be arranged for the adults and children?
- Is a cot available for our dates, and under what conditions?
- Are there steps at the entrance or on the way to the apartment?
- Will any lift accommodate our pushchair?
- How do we access the home if our flight or train is delayed?
Accessibility and children’s facilities must be confirmed for the individual property; they are not automatically identical across all three homes.
Send a useful enquiry
Enter your dates and guest count and briefly describe your family’s requirements in the message. A first enquiry does not need identity documents or medical information. Before paying, check the booking summary, total price, cancellation terms and the host’s confirmation.
