Parking near Prati and the Vatican: planning your arrival by car
Arriving in Rome by car involves two exact destinations: your apartment door and the place where you will leave the vehicle. A car park described as “near the Vatican” may not be convenient for your particular home.

Use the street number, not just the neighbourhood
Aurelia is at Piazza dei Prati degli Strozzi 21, Giulia at Viale delle Medaglie d’Oro 8 and Adriana at Via Giannozzo Manetti 33. Enter the address on your booking and decide whether to reach the car park or the building first. You may stop to unload luggage only where road signs allow it.
Ask the host for any property-specific arrival information before travelling. Do not assume that all three homes have identical parking arrangements or agreements with nearby garages.
Street parking, garages and reserved spaces differ
For a garage, check opening hours, vehicle height and size limits, and whether you can take the car out during your stay. Ask whether the price covers hours, a calendar day or a full 24-hour period and whether you must leave your keys. An indicative price does not reserve a space.
For street parking, follow the signs, markings and conditions on that specific stretch of road. Availability changes during the day. If a parking space is essential to your choice of apartment, obtain written confirmation of the arrangement before completing the booking.
Check the route against restricted traffic zones
Roma Mobilità publishes the maps, rules and operating times of the ZTL restricted traffic zones. Check the conditions for your travel date, vehicle and route. A destination outside a restricted area does not mean every suggested route avoids it. Do not assume electric vehicles are automatically exempt.
An apartment reservation does not replace an entry authorisation. If you hold a permit or have specific access requirements, check the relevant official procedure before travelling.
Explore without moving the car every time
Once parked, compare walking and public transport for each visit. Group activities by area and save the car park address for your return. If you plan to keep sightseeing on departure day, check the apartment check-out time and the end of your parking period separately.
